The lecturer is Dr. Khan, homeopath. Also present Anna Birna Ragnarsdottir and Erla Viggosdottir homeopaths from Organon, The Icelandic society of homeopaths.
About Dr. Khan.
Dr. Abdul Shakoor Aslam Khan – a German National was born in a village of District Sialkot then called India in 1936. He did his Master Degree from Karachi University and Law graduation from Punjab University. As he was keenly interested in the service of humanity, he did his Homœopathic Medical graduation from the Pakistan Central Homœopathic Medical College, Karachi in the year 1965.

In a time of depression like we experience today, many individuals might feel that they don’t have anything to spare. The community cuts down development aid as well as the welfare system get weaker. At the same time, numbers of those that seek help from domestic aid-organizations have multiplied. In these circumstances the question: “Why should we help others?” becomes even more urgent than before.
At Múltikúlti’s seminar, Thursday June 25th, at 20.00, this question will be discussed as well as various answers of it. After short speeches there will be discussions.

The International Day of Refugees |

Next Saturday, the International Day of Refugees, we have open house at Start Art on Laugavegur 12b, from 13.00-15.00. Many artists of foreign origin will be performing. Guests may sample coffee and food from various countries, listen to exotic music and see people dancing. The program is provided by The Icelandic Red Cross, The Icelandic Human Rights Centre and the Intercultural Centre, in cooperation with asylum seekers and refugees. The aim is to have fun and introduce different cultures while at the same time drawing attention to the situation of asylum seekers and refugees. All are welcome.

We will follow our summer plan next Friday and do something fun outdoors. If the weather is not good we watch a movie together. See you all there!

Lögrétta student legal services is back after their spring break and they will offer services throughout the summer. This Wednesday only, the 10th of June services will begin at 17:30, after that it’s back to the regular schedule.
Student Legal Services- Logretta, an association of law students at the University of Reykjavik offers free advice on Wednesdays, 17:00-21:00. Services are in the basement, entrance on left side of the house. The telephone number is 869-7727 and we will answer the phone between 17 and 21 on Wednesday nights.
